The Doi Tung Royal Villa
The Doi Tung Royal Villa was the first residence of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinakarinda, the Princess Mother, built under her supervision. The construction started on December 23, 1987. |
| The Royal Villa incorporates architectural elements from Switzerland, where Her Royal Highness lived for many years, and from northern Thai or Lanna culture. Her Royal Highness used the Royal Villa as a base to oversee work in the Doi Tung Development Project. |

Phu Chi Fah, a breathtaking sheer cliff, located in Chiang Rai Province in Thoeng District about 111 kms from Chiang Rai City. It is 1,638 meters above sea level. The climate is cool and can be quite cold during December.Visitors can go there by cars but for the last 760 meters they have to walk up the slope of the large meadow which has colorful flowering schrubs. On the top, spectacular views of Laos and the sea of mist at sunrise can be seen. |
